In this post, we’ll see how to add a word or phrase to the Android personal dictionary. In this instance, I’m using Android Pie. Let’s get started.
Open the Settings app.
Hit System > Languages & input > Advanced > Personal dictionary.
Tap the “+” icon at the top.
Now, type a word or phrase in the first field. In the second field, you can add a shortcut for the word or phrase that you’ve entered in the first field, which is optional.
In this instance, I’m entering Hello Good Morning in the first field and its shortcut as gmh.
From now on, when I type gmh, the Hello Good Morning will be shown in the suggestions.
If I tap it, the gmh will be replaced by Hello Good Morning.
To Edit or Delete a Word or Phrase from Personal Dictionary
Go to the “Personal dictionary.”
To Edit: Find and tap the one you like to edit and then make changes as per your liking.
To Delete: Find and tap the one you like to delete and then hit the “Trash can” icon at the top.
