How to Add Lock Screen Message on Android

Open the Settings app. Tap Display > Advanced > Lock screen display. Tap the “Lock screen message” option. Type any message you want and then hit “Save.”

That’s it. Put your device in standby mode and then wake it up. Now, you can see the message you’ve added on the lock screen.

Notes:

  • ‚ÄčIf you put in a lengthy message, then you can see it scrolling on the lock screen.
  • Anyone can see the message on the lock screen without unlocking your device. So, enter the message carefully.
  • If you don’t want the message on the lock screen, then you need to do this: Hit the “Lock screen message” option. Clear the message and then tap “Save.”

How to Change Screen Timeout on Android

Open the Settings app. Hit on Display > Advanced > Screen timeout.

In the pop-up, choose the time (15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 30 minutes) you prefer.

Note:

If you’ve enabled Developer options on your Android device, then you can make your device not to go to sleep while charging.

To achieve that, go to Developer options and enable the “Stay awake” option.


How to Enable Dark Theme on Android

Launch the Settings app. Hit on Display > Advanced. Enable switch beside “Dark theme.”

Note: To disable dark theme, you need to follow the steps but disable instead of enabling.


How to Turn Off Adaptive Brightness on Android

“Adaptive brightness” feature automatically changes the brightness of your device according to your environment. It’ll also learn your preferences regarding brightness and use them in later times.

Launch Settings. Hit on Display > Adaptive brightness. Enable the switch beside “Adaptive brightness.”

Note: If you want to turn on, then follow the above steps but instead of enabling, disable.


How to Change Brightness on Android

Launch Settings. Hit on Display > Brightness level. Now, move the slider to the right side to increase the brightness or move it to the left to decrease brightness.

Alternate Method: Swipe down twice from the top. Now, move the slider to the right side to increase the brightness or move it to the left to decrease brightness.
