How to Add Lock Screen Message on Android

Open the Settings app, tap Display > Advanced > Lock screen display, tap the Lock screen message option, enter the message, then click Save.

That’s it. Put your device in standby mode and wake it up. You can now see the message you have added to the lock screen.

Notes:

  • If you enter a longer message, you can see it scrolls on the lock screen.
  • Anyone can see the message on the lock screen without unlocking your device, so enter the message carefully.
  • If you do not want the message on the lock screen, you must do so: click the “Lock screen message” option. Delete the message and then tap “Save.”

Note: See this tutorial for the “Add users from lock screen” option.

How to Change Screen Timeout on Android

Open the Settings app and press Display > Advanced > Screen timeout.

In the pop-up, select the time you prefer: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 30 minutes.

Note:

If you have Developer options enabled on your Android device, you can ensure that your device does not sleep while charging.

To do this, go to the Developer options and check the “Stay awake” option.

How to Activate Dark Theme on Android

Launch the Settings app, click Display > Advanced and activate the button next to the “Dark theme.”

Note: To disable the dark theme, you must follow the steps, but disable it instead of enabling it.

How to Turn Off Adaptive Brightness on Android

The Adaptive brightness function automatically changes the brightness of your device according to your environment. It also learns your brightness preferences and uses them at a later point in time.

Start Settings. Click Display > Adaptive brightness. Activate the button next to “Adaptive brightness.”

Note: If you want to turn it on, follow the steps above but instead of enabling it, disable it.

How to Change Brightness on Android

Launch Settings.

Click Display > Brightness level.

Now move the slider to the right to increase the brightness or move it to the left to decrease the brightness.

Alternative method

Swipe down twice from the top.

Now move the slider to the right to increase the brightness or move it to the left to decrease the brightness.
