Steps to Remove All Empty Folders at Once

Manually finding and deleting empty folders on your Android device is a time-consuming task.

With the help of a third-party app, you can complete this task quickly and easily.

Install and open the “Empty Folder Cleaner” app.

Now you are on the main screen where you can see these three buttons:

  • Scan Empty Folders – Whole Device
  • Delete Empty Folders – Internal
  • Delete Empty Folders – SD Card

Let’s see each and every one of them.

I start with the first button. Tap on it.

The app will now ask you to provide “Storage” permission.

Once you have given permission, tap the same button again.

That’s it. You can now see the empty folders on your entire device.

Remember that by tapping the second button, all empty folders will be removed from the “Internal storage.”

The third button deletes all empty folders from the “SD Card.” Tap on it. The app prompts you to provide the “SD card” permission.

Tap “OK” on the pop-up.

Hit the three vertical lines on the upper left.

Tap your SD card.

Now, hit the “Allow Access to (your SD card name)” button at the bottom.

Tap “Allow.”

That’s it. The app removed all empty folders from the SD card.

Here’s an important thing to note: By default, the app does not scan folders created by Android.

If you want the app to scan those, follow the steps below:

Tap on the “Settings” at the top.

Activate the “Scan Android created folders.”

That’s all.
