How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Your Amazon Account

You can enable two-factor authentication on your Amazon account to make it more secure.

In this post, we will see the steps to do this task. Let’s get started.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Your Amazon Account

Install and open the “Google Authenticator” app on your Android device.

Tap the “Begin” button on the app. Skip or go through the introduction.

Now you can see this screen:

Go to the “Advanced Security Settings” page on your PC by clicking this link OR by clicking Your Account > Login & security > Edit button beside “Advanced Security Settings.”

Click on the “Get Started” button.

You can see the two ways to receive the code. Choose the “Authenticator App.”

Now, tap on the “Scan a barcode” option on your Android device. Provide permission for the app.

After scanning the barcode, you can see a code on your Android device.

Put it in the field on the PC and enter the “Verify code and continue” button.

On the next screen, you can see some vital information. Go through it and then click on “I got it. Please turn on the Two-Step Verification” button.

Now, provide the password of your Amazon account, and you can see the “Almost done” screen again.

Scroll down and click on “I got it. Please turn on the Two-Step Verification” button again.

That is all. The two-step verification is successfully enabled for your Amazon account.

Keep in mind that the mobile number in your account automatically becomes your backup method.

From now on, you can log into your account by entering your email address, password, and code from the “Google Authenticator” app.

You can disable or change the two-factor authentication by visiting this URL.
