How to Add Ringtones, Notification Sounds and Alarm Sounds to Android
Open the “Files” app.
Find the sound file you prefer and then cut or copy it.
Note: In case, if you can’t see the folder mentioned below, then create one with the same name in “Internal Storage,” and then follow the step.
If the file is a ringtone, then paste it in the “Ringtones” folder in the “Internal Storage.”
If the file is a notification sound, then paste it in the “Notifications” folder in the “Internal Storage.”
If the file is an alarm sound, then paste it in the “Alarms” folder in the “Internal Storage.”
That’s all. Now, you can see it in your Android device’s ringtone, notification sound or alarm sound list depending on the one you’ve added.
In case if you can’t see it there, then reboot your device, and you can view it.
How to Set a Custom Ringtone for a Contact on Android
Open Contacts app.
Hit the one you prefer.
Tap the three vertical dots at the top right.
Hit “Set ringtone” option.
You may see a pop-up. In it, choose the one you prefer. Here, I’m using “Media Storage.”
In the “Ringtones” pop-up, choose the ringtone you want.
