How to Add Ringtones to Android

In this post, we’ll see how to add custom ringtones, notification sounds and alarm sounds to your Android device. Let’s get started.

Add Ringtones, Notification Sounds and Alarm Sounds to Android

Open the “Files” app.

Find the sound file you prefer and then cut or copy it.

Ringtone is in the Download folder

Note: In case, if you can’t see the folder mentioned below, then create one with the same name in “Internal Storage” and then follow the step.

If the file is a ringtone, then paste it in the “Ringtones” folder in the “Internal Storage.”

If the file is a notification sound, then paste it in the “Notifications” folder in the “Internal Storage.”

If the file is an alarm sound, then paste it in the “Alarms” folder in the “Internal Storage.”

That’s all. Now, you can see it in your Android device’s ringtone, notification sound or alarm sound list depending on the one you’ve added.

In case, if you can’t see it there, then reboot your device, and you can view it.
