Start Menu Tile

Steps

  1. Open the Start menu.
  2. Type “control” (without double quotes) and you can see the “Control Panel” app.
  3. ​Right-click on it and then click “Pin to Start.”

That’s it. You can now see the Control Panel as a tile in the Start menu.

Start Menu Shortcut

  1. Open Run Command. Type “shell:programs” (without double quotes) and then press “Enter.”
  2. ​Now, you can see the “Windows System” folder. Open it, and there you can see the “Control Panel” shortcut. Copy it.
  3. Click on the “Programs” folder in the Address Bar. Paste the shortcut into the “Programs” folder.

That’s all. Now, you can see the “Control Panel” shortcut on the left side of the Start menu.

Taskbar Shortcut

  1. Open the Start menu. Type “control” (without double quotes) and you can see the “Control Panel” app.
  2. ​Right-click on it and then click “Pin to taskbar.”

That’s all. Now, you can see the Control Panel shortcut in the taskbar.

Desktop Shortcut

  1. Open Run Command. Type “ms-settings:themes” (without double quotes) and then press “Enter.”
  2. ​Hit the “Desktop icon settings” link which you can find on the right side of the screen.
  3. ​In the “Desktop Icon Settings” popup, select “Control Panel” and then hit the “Ok” button.

That’s all. Now, you can see the Control Panel shortcut on the desktop.
