How to Add Control Panel in Windows 10 Start Menu, Taskbar or Desktop

You can add Control Panel in Windows 10 Start Menu, taskbar or desktop and here are the steps:

Start Menu Tile

  • angle-right
    ​Open the Start Menu.
  • angle-right
    ​Type control and you can see "Control Panel."
  • angle-right
    ​Right-click on it and then click "Pin to Start."

That's it. You can now see the Control Panel as a tile in Start Menu.

Start Menu Shortcut

  • angle-double-right
    ​Open Run Command. Type "shell:programs" (without double quotes) and then press "Enter."
  • angle-double-right
    ​Now, you can see "Windows System" folder. Open it, and there you can see "Control Panel" shortcut. Copy it.
  • angle-double-right
    ​Click on "Programs" folder in the Address Bar. Paste the shortcut into the "Programs" folder.

That's all. Now, you can see the "Control Panel" shortcut on the left side of the Start Menu.

Taskbar Shortcut

  • angle-right
    ​Open the Start Menu. Type control and you can see "Control Panel" at the top.

    ​Right-click on it and then click "Pin to taskbar."

That's all. Now, you can see the Control Panel shortcut in the taskbar.

Desktop Shortcut

  • angle-double-right
    ​Open Run Command. Type "ms-settings:themes" (without double quotes) and then press "Enter."

    ​Hit "Desktop icon settings" link which you can find on the right side of the screen.
  • angle-double-right
    ​In the "Desktop Icon Settings" popup, select "Control Panel" and then hit "OK" button.

That's all. Now, you can see the Control Panel shortcut on the desktop.
