How to Add Bluetooth or WiFi to Windows 10 Laptop?

How Can I Tell If My Windows 10 Laptop has Bluetooth?

Open Device Manager. You can see it has categories listed in alphabetical order by default.

Look for the Bluetooth category. If you didn’t find it, then expand the Network adapters category and look for the Bluetooth entry there.

If you see the Bluetooth category or entry, then your laptop has Bluetooth. Else, it means that your Windows 10 laptop doesn’t have Bluetooth.

Add Bluetooth to Windows 10 Laptop

​Grab a Bluetooth Adapter that you want.

Now, connect it to the USB port of the laptop.

Windows 10 will automatically install drivers for the adapter. In case, if it didn’t, then install the software from the CD that comes with the adapter.

That’s all. Now your laptop has Bluetooth.

Go to the notification area of Windows 10, and you can see a Bluetooth icon there.

Right-click on it. In the context menu, select Add a Bluetooth Device option for pairing.

How Do I Know If My Windows 10 Laptop has Wi-Fi?

Open Device Manager.

Find and expand the Network adapters category.

In the entries within the Network adapters category, look for these words – Wireless, Wi-Fi.

If you see any of those two words, then your laptop has Wi-Fi. Else, your Windows 10 laptop doesn’t have Wi-Fi.

To Add Wi-Fi to Windows 10 Laptop

Grab the USB Wi-Fi Adapter that you want.

Connect it to the USB port of your laptop.

The Windows 10 will install drivers for the adapter. In case, if it didn’t, then install the software in the CD that comes with the adapter.

That’s it. Now, your laptop has Wi-Fi.

Click the Network icon in the notification area of your Windows 10 laptop. Find your Wi-Fi network and connect to it.
